Senior Data Engineering consultant leading design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Python, Spark, SQL, and AWS services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes for large‑scale data platforms.
- Architect and implement data models and storage solutions on cloud services such as AWS.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Optimize performance of data workflows using Spark, SQL, and Python, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.
- Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda) and cloud‑based data architectures.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
