Lead CFD analysis and thermal optimization for data‑center projects, using ANSYS Fluent, Python, and MATLAB on HPC platforms to develop reliable cooling solutions and improve energy efficiency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute high‑fidelity CFD models of data‑center airflow and thermal performance using ANSYS Fluent.
- Analyze simulation results to recommend cooling strategies, equipment placement, and energy‑saving measures.
- Automate pre‑ and post‑processing workflows with Python and MATLAB scripts to accelerate design cycles.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate CFD insights into overall data‑center designs.
- Validate simulation outcomes against experimental data and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or related field with 5+ years of CFD experience.
- Proficiency in ANSYS Fluent (or comparable CFD solver) and strong scripting skills in Python and MATLAB.
- Experience running large‑scale simulations on High‑Performance Computing clusters.
- Solid understanding of data‑center thermal management, HVAC systems, and heat transfer principles.
- Excellent problem‑solving communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
