Senior Cloud/Systems Administrator responsible for operating and optimizing mission‑critical workloads in an AWS environment, ensuring high availability, automating deployments, and leading migrations and upgrades across Linux and Windows platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor high‑availability services across multiple AWS accounts, ensuring 24/7 uptime for mission‑critical applications.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and patch management using Ansible, Terraform, and Python scripts.
- Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines to streamline code releases and infrastructure changes.
- Lead migration and upgrade projects, moving legacy workloads to modern, scalable cloud architectures.
- Collaborate with Agile development teams to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize resource utilization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments in AWS.
- Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills in Python (or comparable language) for automation and tooling.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
