Software Engineer
Lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud‑native microservices on AWS, Azure, or GCP, driving containerization, Kubernetes operations, and CI/CD pipelines to modernize enterprise catalog and metadata services for the Air Force and Intelligence Community.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable, cloud‑native microservices across AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Lead containerization efforts, design Kubernetes deployment strategies, and manage multi‑cluster operations with service‑mesh integrations.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test, and deployment workflows for rapid, reliable releases.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data models, APIs, and security controls for enterprise catalog and metadata services.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, implementing observability and logging best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and deploying cloud‑native applications in production environments.
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP services, including compute, storage, and networking.
- Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and service‑mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Strong background in CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and a passion for secure, mission‑critical software delivery.
