Senior Cloud Software Engineer with 12+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years designing and implementing Big‑Data solutions on cloud platforms using technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud‑native applications for large‑scale Big‑Data processing.
- Architect and implement distributed computing solutions using Apache Spark, Hadoop, and related frameworks.
- Integrate cloud services (AWS, storage, networking, security) to support data pipelines and analytics workloads.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, perform code reviews, and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of cloud‑based systems through monitoring, tuning, and automation.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on Big‑Data cloud technologies.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Java, and hands‑on experience with Apache Spark and Hadoop ecosystems.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, EMR, Lambda, IAM) and best practices for cloud security and scalability.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deploy distributed computing solutions in production environments.
- Current Polygraph (Poly) clearance and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
