Senior Cloud Platform Engineer - Charles Schwab

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain highly available, secure cloud platforms on AWS supporting micro‑service workloads.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform to provision, version, and manage resources across multiple environments.
• Design and operate container orchestration solutions with Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, observability, and resilience.
• Develop automation scripts and services in Python to streamline deployment pipelines, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to integrate CI/CD best practices, automated testing, and compliance checks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and operating cloud platforms, primarily on AWS.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Linux system administration.
• Hands‑on experience scripting/ programming in Python and implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in an agile setting.
