Devops Engineer
Lead the design, deployment, and management of secure cloud infrastructures for DoD mission‑critical software, leveraging AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform to deliver scalable, resilient solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain cloud environments (AWS, Azure) for DoD software development, ensuring high availability and compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with Cyber Systems and IT partners to define infrastructure requirements, automate provisioning with Terraform, and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize resource utilization across multi‑cloud deployments.
- Develop and enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement remediation controls.
- Document architecture, processes, and best practices for cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with deep expertise in AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong background in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with DoD or other regulated environments and familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, DISA).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
