About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall strategy for cloud database solutions within the AI and platform engineering domain.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high‑performance database environments on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and maintain standardized “golden paths” and best‑practice guidelines for database deployment and operation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI workloads with cloud database services.
- Lead technical reviews, performance tuning, and capacity planning for production database systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud database engineering, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong background in database architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
- Proficiency in AI/ML integration concepts and platform strategy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.
