Security Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud solutions, applying Zero Trust principles and IAM best practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect end‑to‑end security solutions for multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) that align with Zero Trust and federal compliance frameworks.
- Develop and enforce identity and access management strategies, including privileged access, federation, and conditional access policies.
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews for cloud‑native applications and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and program teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and security training to cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud security architecture and implementation, with deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Proven knowledge of Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and security monitoring in cloud environments.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates) and CI/CD integration.
- Active U.S. security clearance (Secret or higher) and familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards (NIST, FedRAMP, DoD RMF).
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable guidance for technical and non‑technical audiences.
