Senior Civil Site Engineer overseeing daily construction activities, interpreting drawings, ensuring QA/QC, coordinating deliveries, and enforcing safety standards on large-scale civil projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction operations, including excavation, steel erection, and concrete placement, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings, verify layout accuracy (line and level), and resolve design discrepancies on site.
- Conduct rigorous QA/QC inspections of materials and workmanship, maintaining compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment usage, and subcontractor workflows to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, conduct regular safety briefings, and ensure all personnel use appropriate protective equipment.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation, including material logs, daily progress reports, and incident records.
- Identify and resolve unforeseen technical issues promptly, collaborating with design and construction teams to implement effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in civil construction site management.
- Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and using construction management software.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
