BI Engineer
Lead the design and maintenance of a scalable data foundation for Amazon Devices’ supply chain, building robust pipelines, data models, and analytics that empower decision‑makers and AI agents with actionable insights.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store large volumes of supply‑chain data using Python and SQL on AWS services.
- Build and optimize data models and schemas to support real‑time metrics, dashboards, and advanced analytics for sourcing and cost decisions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver actionable insights.
- Implement automated testing, monitoring, and documentation to ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance with internal standards.
- Explore and prototype AI/ML techniques to enhance predictive analytics and diagnostic capabilities for supply‑chain stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles within a large, data‑driven organization.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS data services (Redshift, Glue, S3, Athena).
- Strong background in data modeling, ETL design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard development.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work in ambiguous environments, and strong communication abilities.
