About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, forecasts, and cost models for multi‑million dollar defense and aerospace programs.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify cost drivers, and recommend corrective actions to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and contracting teams to integrate financial data into program schedules and risk assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and funding agencies.
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations, cost accounting standards, and internal audit requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in budget analysis and program control within defense, aerospace, or related high‑tech sectors.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and financial modeling tools; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and cost accounting standards (CAS).
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
