About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑availability biometric applications using Java and GoLang.
- Collaborate with DHS stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions.
- Lead code reviews, performance tuning, and refactoring to ensure reliability and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance during concept, design, and implementation phases.
- Integrate biometric modules with existing identity management workflows and APIs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in Java and GoLang.
- Strong background in biometric technologies, including facial, fingerprint, or iris recognition.
- Proficiency in designing secure, scalable systems for government or regulated environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud deployment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
