Software Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services for a virtual obesity care platform, leveraging Python, Java, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes to deliver secure, high‑performance APIs and data pipelines.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high‑throughput microservice APIs that support personalized obesity care workflows.
- Design and implement data pipelines and storage solutions using SQL databases and cloud services on AWS.
- Lead performance tuning, scalability planning, and reliability engineering for mission‑critical backend systems.
- Collaborate with product, clinical, and front‑end teams to translate healthcare requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers, enforce code quality standards, and drive continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices using Kubernetes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional backend development experience with Python, Java, or Go.
- Deep expertise in designing, deploying, and operating services on AWS (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).
- Strong knowledge of container orchestration with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience with relational databases, SQL optimization, and data modeling.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment and mentor engineering teams.
