Senior Backend Engineer driving the design and implementation of scalable, cloud‑native services for public EV charging infrastructure, using Python, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services that power public EV charging stations.
- Implement microservice architectures on AWS, leveraging containers, serverless functions, and managed databases.
- Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and hardware teams to define APIs, data models, and integration points.
- Ensure reliability, security, and observability through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in code quality, documentation, and performance optimization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience, primarily with Python and/or Go.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proven experience building and scaling microservices, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (SQL).
- Solid understanding of security, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in an agile environment.
