About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Python microservices that power financial services for hundreds of thousands of small businesses.
- Implement secure, scalable REST APIs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define architecture, performance benchmarks, and deployment pipelines.
- Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows to automate testing, integration, and production releases.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize service health, latency, and cost efficiency across AWS infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience, primarily in Python.
- Proven expertise in building and scaling microservices on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3).
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Deep understanding of security best practices, including encryption, secrets management, and vulnerability mitigation.
