Senior Backend Engineer responsible for designing, building, and scaling high‑performance microservices on AWS, leveraging Python, Node.js, Kafka and SQL to support billions of AI‑driven customer interactions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable microservices that power AI‑enabled customer conversations.
- Develop and maintain APIs and data pipelines using Python and Node.js, ensuring low latency and high reliability.
- Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including serverless and containerized solutions.
- Integrate event‑driven architectures with Kafka for real‑time data processing and analytics.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and front‑end teams to deliver end‑to‑end features and continuously improve system performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience, preferably in high‑traffic SaaS environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js, with a solid understanding of RESTful API design.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
- Deep knowledge of event streaming platforms such as Kafka and relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL).
- Proven ability to design, ship, and operate microservice architectures at scale.
