Senior Backend Engineer who will design and build microservice APIs using Node.js/TypeScript, optimize performance, and collaborate closely with customers to translate requirements into robust, scalable backend solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance microservice APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Define and enforce backend architecture standards, design patterns, and API contracts.
- Collaborate with product managers and customers to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring low latency and high reliability.
- Drive infrastructure decisions, including cloud provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of microservice architecture, API design, and common design patterns.
- Proven track record of performance tuning and scaling backend services.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration.
- Strong communication skills to work directly with customers and cross‑functional teams.
