Senior Backend Engineer- AI Agents Remote - Level AI

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑throughput backend services that integrate Large Language Models for real‑time customer interaction analysis.
• Build and expose RESTful APIs using Python and Node.js, ensuring robust authentication, rate limiting, and monitoring.
• Containerize services with Docker, orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes, and manage CI/CD pipelines on AWS.
• Collaborate with data scientists to optimize model inference pipelines and reduce latency.
• Implement observability, logging, and alerting to guarantee 99.9% uptime and rapid incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Python and Node.js.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS) and experience deploying containerized workloads.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM inference, prompt engineering, and model fine‑tuning.
• Proficiency in designing scalable REST APIs, message queues, and caching strategies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a passion for building AI‑powered customer experience solutions.
