Senior backend engineer responsible for designing, building, and scaling high‑performance services for SAP Concur Travel, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and cloud‑native technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java‑based microservices that power the Concur Travel platform.
- Implement and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration with internal and external systems.
- Collaborate with product, UI, and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end features following agile practices.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance through containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to uphold code quality and release velocity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development, with deep knowledge of Spring Boot.
- Proven expertise in building and deploying microservices architectures and REST APIs.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
