Backend Engineer
Lead the design and optimization of high‑performance backend services for a next‑generation digital ecosystem, leveraging Python, Node.js, AWS, and container orchestration to deliver scalable APIs and microservices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust, scalable backend services for mobile, web, and desktop applications.
- Design and expose high‑performance RESTful and gRPC APIs, ensuring security and compliance.
- Implement microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, optimizing for cost and resilience.
- Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and mobile teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Perform database schema design, query optimization, and data migration for relational and NoSQL stores.
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and Node.js.
- Proven expertise in AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing and scaling microservices and high‑throughput APIs.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
