Senior Backend Developer (Contract) driving scalable, cloud‑native services for a global home‑healthcare SaaS platform using Python, Node.js, AWS, Docker, and microservices architecture.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services in Python and Node.js for a multi‑tenant SaaS platform.
- Architect and deploy microservices on AWS using ECS/EKS, Lambda, and RDS, ensuring scalability and resilience.
- Implement secure, well‑documented RESTful APIs, integrating with front‑end and third‑party systems.
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize SQL queries and manage PostgreSQL/MySQL databases.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines with Docker, GitHub Actions, and Terraform, enforcing code quality and security standards.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and incident response to maintain uptime and reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and Node.js.
- Proven expertise in AWS services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently in a contract role, and strong communication abilities.
