Backend Engineer
Senior Backend Developer with 2–3 years of experience building scalable, high‑performance server‑side applications and RESTful APIs using Python or Node.js, leveraging SQL databases and containerization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs that support web and mobile applications.
- Implement data models and queries using relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, QA testers, and product owners to deliver end‑to‑end features on schedule.
- Write clean, maintainable code following best practices, conduct code reviews, and contribute to continuous integration pipelines.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply security best practices to protect data and services.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of professional experience in backend development, primarily with Python or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, HTTP protocols, and JSON data interchange.
- Proficiency in SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ability to write optimized queries.
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
- Solid problem‑solving skills, ability to work in an Agile team, and good communication abilities.
