Senior Backend & AI Platform Engineer - Siemens

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable backend services using Python with FastAPI and Flask frameworks.
• Own end‑to‑end AI pipelines, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) tuning, evaluation, and quality validation.
• Build and maintain robust data ingestion, preprocessing, and transformation pipelines to feed AI models.
• Implement RESTful APIs for agent orchestration, data services, and AI interaction layers.
• Drive platform hardening: performance optimization, monitoring, logging, and security hardening for production workloads.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define feature requirements and deliver high‑quality code.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional backend engineering experience with Python.
• Strong background in AI/ML engineering, especially RAG and pipeline orchestration.
• Proficiency in building and scaling data pipelines and working with large datasets.
• Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and production hardening of services.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
