Engineering Manager
Lead the end‑to‑end design and delivery of a multi‑region Azure API Management platform, driving architecture, scalability, HA/DR, and governance for API product lifecycle and cross‑cloud integration.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document the target‑state architecture for Azure Federated API Management, including multi‑region deployment, high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability patterns.
- Design control‑plane and data‑plane segregation, networking topology, private endpoints, and backend service integrations.
- Establish API product strategy, lifecycle governance, versioning, and deprecation standards across the platform.
- Lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives, make critical technical decisions, and conduct stakeholder technical reviews.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless cross‑cloud integration and compliance with enterprise standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure API Management.
- Proven track record designing and delivering highly available, multi‑region solutions with robust disaster recovery capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, private endpoints, and secure API gateway configurations.
- Experience establishing API governance frameworks, versioning strategies, and product lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive technical consensus and mentor engineering teams.
