Senior Automation Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced control and automation solutions for clean‑energy and infrastructure projects, leveraging PLCs, SCADA, Python, and Industrial IoT technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and commission PLC‑based control systems for renewable energy, mining, and grid modernization projects.
- Create and maintain SCADA/HMI interfaces to provide real‑time monitoring and control for complex infrastructure.
- Develop automation scripts and data pipelines using Python to improve system reliability and performance.
- Integrate Industrial IoT sensors and edge devices to enable predictive maintenance and data‑driven decision making.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure automation solutions meet safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Engineering with 7+ years of automation experience.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA platforms (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware).
- Strong Python programming skills for scripting, data handling, and integration tasks.
- Experience with Industrial IoT protocols, edge computing, and cloud connectivity.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects, troubleshoot control issues, and deliver solutions on schedule.
