QA Engineer
Senior Automation Engineer responsible for designing, commissioning, and operating material‑flow automation in product development labs, integrating robots, instruments, and run‑control logic to ensure seamless inventory capture, kitting, staging, and chain‑of‑custody.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end material flow solutions—including inventory capture, kitting, staging, pick‑and‑place, and chain‑of‑custody—across automated product development labs.
- Develop, program, and commission PLC and robot control logic to synchronize multiple work cells and laboratory instruments.
- Create and maintain Python‑based scripts and APIs for run‑control, data orchestration, and real‑time monitoring of material movements.
- Validate system performance through bench‑level testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of hardware‑lean automation setups.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (process engineers, quality, supply chain) to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field with 5+ years of hands‑on automation experience.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and robot integration (e.g., UR, FANUC, KUKA).
- Strong Python coding skills for control, data handling, and system integration.
- Demonstrated experience designing material flow and lab automation systems in a regulated environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and communication abilities to work effectively at the bench and with multidisciplinary teams.
