QA Engineer
Senior Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions, PLC/SCADA programming, and data interfaces to optimize plant operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of MES applications and integrations across the plant.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs and SCADA/HMI systems to support production automation.
- Develop data acquisition and exchange solutions using OPC-UA, SQL databases, and custom scripts (Python, PowerShell).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, create technical specifications, and ensure seamless system integration.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and best‑practice standards for automation projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of automation experience.
- Proven expertise in MES architecture, PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.), and SCADA/HMI development.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for data handling and scripting.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP) and network troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and communication abilities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
