About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate robotic and liquid‑handling platforms for high‑throughput clinical biomarker assays.
- Architect and implement data pipelines that connect laboratory instruments to cloud services (AWS) for real‑time monitoring and analytics.
- Program and maintain PLC and LabVIEW control systems to ensure reliable, reproducible automation across biobanking workflows.
- Collaborate with biomarker scientists, data engineers, and AI specialists to embed emerging AI/ML capabilities into automated processes.
- Lead validation, qualification, and continuous improvement activities to meet regulatory and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in laboratory automation or robotics.
- Proficiency in Python and LabVIEW for instrument control and data handling.
- Hands‑on experience with PLC programming, robotic workcells, and liquid‑handling systems.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and data integration techniques for laboratory informatics.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with scientific and software teams, translating requirements into robust automated solutions.
