About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement secure, scalable research infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.
- Design and deploy containerized workloads using Kubernetes, ensuring compliance with university security policies.
- Develop infrastructure‑as‑code solutions with Terraform and automate provisioning, monitoring, and remediation.
- Lead security hardening, identity and access management, and network segmentation for research data platforms.
- Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and IT teams to translate scientific requirements into robust technical solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and operating secure cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure).
- Proficiency with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and IaC tools such as Terraform.
- Strong scripting/automation skills in Python or comparable language.
- Deep understanding of network security, IAM, and compliance frameworks for research environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with academic and technical stakeholders.
