About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement physics‑accurate simulation environments for robotic manipulation and navigation.
- Develop and refine motion planning, control, and dynamics algorithms that transfer from simulation to real robots.
- Integrate modern Physical AI methods—imitation learning, vision‑language‑action models, world models, and diffusion policies—into end‑to‑end robotic pipelines.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate simulation results on physical robots and iterate on models.
- Mentor junior scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of rigorous experimentation and reproducible research.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in robotics, computer science, or related field.
- Deep expertise in kinematics, dynamics, control, and motion planning.
- Proficiency in Python, ROS, and simulation frameworks (e.g., Gazebo, PyBullet).
- Experience applying AI techniques such as imitation learning, diffusion models, and vision‑language integration to robotics.
- Strong analytical skills, publication record, and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
