Data Scientist
Lead the design and deployment of advanced ML and NLP solutions for search and browsing experiences, leveraging Python, LLMs, and cloud services to improve relevance and personalization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and productionize machine‑learning models that enhance search relevance and browsing personalization.
- Apply natural language processing and large language model techniques to understand user intent and improve query understanding.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data engineering teams to integrate models into scalable, cloud‑based pipelines (AWS).
- Conduct experiments, A/B tests, and performance monitoring to iterate on model accuracy and latency.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best‑practice standards for model development, documentation, and reproducibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying production ML/NLP systems, preferably in e‑commerce or retail domains.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Hands‑on experience with large language models (e.g., GPT, BERT) and modern NLP techniques.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS services for data processing and model serving.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into data‑driven solutions and communicate results to cross‑functional stakeholders.
