Software Engineer
Lead the development of physics‑informed machine learning models that transform sparse, multi‑source industrial data into actionable insights for energy, chemistry, and manufacturing clients.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate physics‑based ML models that predict complex system behavior from sparse, multi‑source data.
- Collaborate with domain experts in physics and chemistry to integrate domain knowledge into model architectures and loss functions.
- Develop end‑to‑end data pipelines, from data ingestion and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment on cloud platforms.
- Communicate model performance, limitations, and actionable insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best‑practice guidelines for reproducible research.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent experience in Applied Physics, Chemistry, or a related field with strong quantitative background.
- 5+ years of industry experience building production‑grade ML models, preferably in energy or chemical manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), and scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of publishing or presenting research findings.
