About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and govern end‑to‑end data architecture that connects legacy mainframe systems to modern streaming platforms.
- Lead the implementation of high‑throughput, event‑driven pipelines using Kafka and related streaming technologies.
- Define API‑led integration patterns to enable real‑time data exchange across applications and services.
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and regulatory compliance of all data flows within the retail banking environment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and provide architectural guidance to development teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on streaming and event‑driven systems.
- Deep expertise in Apache Kafka, including cluster design, topic management, and performance tuning.
- Proven experience designing API‑centric integration strategies (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) for real‑time data exchange.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and modern data services (Kinesis, S3, Redshift, etc.).
- Strong data modeling skills and knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards in the banking sector.
