Developer Advocate
Lead the developer experience for Appian, evangelizing platform capabilities, building community, and driving adoption through technical content, events, and hands‑on support using Java, JavaScript, and RESTful services on Appian Cloud.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical voice for Appian, creating and delivering engaging content such as blogs, videos, webinars, and conference talks that showcase platform features and best practices.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to shape the developer experience, gather feedback, and influence roadmap decisions.
- Build and nurture a vibrant community of developers through forums, meetups, hackathons, and online channels, providing mentorship and rapid issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain sample applications, SDKs, and integration guides that demonstrate Appian’s API, Java, JavaScript, and REST capabilities.
- Analyze community metrics, track adoption trends, and report insights to senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developer advocacy, technical evangelism, or a similar role within the enterprise software space.
- Deep knowledge of Appian platform, including low‑code development, process modeling, and integration patterns.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and RESTful API design, with hands‑on experience building and consuming services.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable speaking to both technical and non‑technical audiences at conferences, meetups, and online.
- Passion for community building, mentoring, and fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
