This Senior Android Engineer is part of the Air Shopping Experience team, which builds the end‑to‑end air shopping journey, across native and web, that powers flight search, discovery, and booking across Expedia Group brands. We focus on fast, reliable, and intuitive mobile experiences that help travelers find the right flights with confidence, while enabling experimentation and innovation at scale across our apps. The Air Shopping Experience team sits within our Technology organization, partnering closely with platform, search, recommendations, checkout, identity, and experimentation teams to deliver connected, high‑quality experiences across brands and platforms. This role will be based in Seattle, collaborating with distributed teams across Expedia Group. In this role, you will:

Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability across a diverse device ecosystem.

Lead end‑to‑end feature delivery, including low‑level design, API design, and data modeling for mobile features and services that integrate with backend systems and shared platforms.

Collaborate with product, design, and cross‑functional engineering teams to define technical approaches, refine requirements, and deliver high‑quality customer experiences in a fast‑paced environment.

Drive code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated testing strategies, continuous integration, and adherence to engineering best practices for Android development.

Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.
