Software Engineer
Lead the design, fine‑tuning, and deployment of large language models for conversational learning agents and generative content, optimizing performance and evaluation metrics in a fast‑paced EdTech environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, train, and fine‑tune large language models using PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers to power conversational learning agents and intelligent tutoring systems.
- Build and optimize LLM inference pipelines for high throughput, focusing on TPS/RPS, latency, and cost efficiency on AWS infrastructure.
- Implement evaluation frameworks (BLEU, ROUGE, custom metrics) and conduct rigorous A/B testing to improve model quality and user experience.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to integrate AI/ML components into production-grade educational platforms.
- Maintain model versioning, monitoring, and continuous improvement cycles using CI/CD pipelines and cloud services.
Requirements
- 1–4 years of hands‑on experience in AI/ML development, preferably in education or conversational AI.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Strong understanding of NLP/NLG evaluation metrics and model deployment best practices.
- Experience with AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, ECS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team.
