About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of AI‑enhanced digital services, ensuring seamless, user‑focused experiences from concept through delivery.
- Conduct user research, persona development, and usability testing to uncover insights and validate design decisions.
- Produce high‑fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs using tools such as Figma or Sketch.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, content strategists, and researchers to translate requirements into intuitive interfaces.
- Establish and promote best practices in human‑centered design across multiple state agency projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design solutions.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and familiarity with design systems.
- Hands‑on experience integrating AI/ML features into user interfaces and understanding of their usability implications.
- Solid background in user research methods, usability testing, and translating findings into design improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
