AI Engineer
Lead end‑to‑end AI solutions for item science, building scalable models on AWS, leveraging Python and deep learning to optimize product recommendations and inventory insights.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production‑grade machine learning models for item science use cases, including demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and recommendation engines.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build robust data pipelines and feature stores on AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue).
- Implement deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers) in Python using frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Conduct model validation, A/B testing, and performance monitoring to ensure business impact and model drift mitigation.
- Mentor junior data scientists and share best practices for reproducible research and CI/CD of ML workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning and AI engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS cloud services.
- Hands‑on experience with deep learning frameworks and large‑scale data processing.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Experience with MLOps tools (e.g., SageMaker, MLflow) is a plus.
