AI Engineer
Lead the design and deployment of advanced AI models for clinical trial workflow automation, leveraging Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and cloud services to accelerate drug development and improve research site efficiency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and productionize machine‑learning pipelines that automate data extraction, quality checks, and predictive analytics for clinical trial sites.
- Collaborate with product, data, and domain experts to translate research needs into scalable AI solutions.
- Implement and fine‑tune deep‑learning models (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, Transformers) for image, text, and time‑series data using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Deploy models on AWS (SageMaker, ECS/EKS) with CI/CD, monitoring, and automated rollback capabilities.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion best practices in model reproducibility and data governance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building and deploying AI/ML systems in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python and deep‑learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated ability to work with large, heterogeneous biomedical datasets and apply advanced statistical/machine‑learning techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to cross‑functional teams.
