Senior Aero‑Mechanical Engineer leading design, development, and validation of complex mechanical systems for uncrewed aerial platforms, leveraging CAD, FEA, and hands‑on testing to deliver reliable, high‑performance solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and subsystems for UAS, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Utilize CAD and FEA tools to model, analyze, and optimize structural and thermal performance.
- Collaborate with propulsion, avionics, and systems teams to integrate mechanical interfaces and meet mission requirements.
- Conduct prototype fabrication, ground testing, and flight qualification, troubleshooting and resolving design issues.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, test plans, and compliance reports for regulatory and certification purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or UAS mechanical design and validation.
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and propulsion integration.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
