Senior engineer designing and integrating high‑performance FPGA and firmware solutions for aerospace and defense platforms, leveraging VHDL/Verilog, embedded C, and Linux‑based debugging tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, simulate, and verify FPGA cores using VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog for mission‑critical aerospace systems.
- Write and maintain embedded firmware in C for board‑level integration, bootloaders, and peripheral drivers.
- Perform hardware bring‑up, signal integrity analysis, and real‑time debugging on Linux‑based test platforms.
- Collaborate with system architects to define interface specifications, timing constraints, and performance targets.
- Produce detailed design documentation, test plans, and compliance reports for security‑cleared projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 5+ years of professional experience with FPGA development and firmware integration.
- Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog, SystemVerilog, and embedded C programming.
- Strong knowledge of digital signal processing concepts and hardware debugging tools (e.g., logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (Secret preferred).
