About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integration of battery cells and modules into vehicle structures, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and manufacturability.
- Develop and execute detailed mechanical and structural analyses using CAD and FEA tools to validate cell integration concepts.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (propulsion, thermal, safety) to define integration requirements and resolve design trade‑offs.
- Define and implement testing protocols for mechanical, thermal, and safety qualification of battery assemblies.
- Drive continuous improvement of integration processes, tooling, and documentation to support production readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in battery cell/module integration or automotive structural engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent) and FEA (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar).
- Strong understanding of automotive safety standards, crashworthiness, and thermal management for battery systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication, and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
