About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate high‑performance actuation subsystems for missile and aircraft platforms, ensuring compliance with DoD specifications.
- Lead hardware and firmware integration, including C/C++ development for embedded controllers and FPGA logic implementation.
- Perform signal‑processing and control‑system analysis using MATLAB/Simulink to optimize actuator performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, software, test) to define requirements, conduct trade studies, and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, test plans, and reports for internal reviews and external audits.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in actuation system design, embedded firmware, and FPGA development.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ programming.
- Experience with DoD security clearance (Secret) and understanding of defense acquisition processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, mission‑critical environment.
