Software Engineer
Security Specialist responsible for designing and overseeing physical security programs, emergency response plans, and training initiatives to protect staff, patients, visitors, and volunteers in a high‑traffic healthcare environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive physical security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Manage and monitor surveillance, access‑control, and alarm systems to ensure continuous protection of facilities.
- Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate threats.
- Coordinate crisis management and incident‑response activities, including investigations and reporting.
- Design and deliver security awareness and training programs for all staff, volunteers, and visitors.
- Collaborate with leadership and external law‑enforcement agencies to align security initiatives with organizational goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in physical security, law enforcement, or related field, preferably in a healthcare or high‑volume public setting.
- Proven expertise with surveillance, access‑control, and alarm technologies.
- Strong knowledge of emergency management, crisis response, and incident investigation procedures.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to influence staff at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as CPP, PSP, or equivalent are preferred.
