Software Engineer
Lead NASA’s SCI security program, enforcing policies, managing personnel security, and conducting vulnerability assessments to safeguard national security information and support law‑enforcement operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal authority for NASA’s Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security program, ensuring compliance with all federal regulations and agency policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and training programs for personnel handling SCI and other classified information.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security audits to identify and mitigate threats to national security information.
- Coordinate with law‑enforcement and intelligence partners to support daily security operations and protect life, property, and critical information assets.
- Manage personnel security processes, including background investigations, access authorizations, and ongoing security clearances.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in SCI security management and national security information protection.
- Strong background in vulnerability assessment, risk management, and security policy development.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to train and lead security teams.
- Knowledge of federal security regulations and law‑enforcement collaboration.
