Software Engineer
Provides analytical and administrative support for Navy security and fraud programs, handling sensitive data, managing records, and ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy security, privacy, and information management requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze security, fraud, and ethics data to identify trends, gaps, and actionable insights for the NAVAIR Inspector General and FES teams.
- Maintain and curate knowledge bases, records, and secure information repositories in accordance with DoD and Navy regulations.
- Coordinate operational activities, schedule briefings, and prepare reports that support mission execution and compliance audits.
- Ensure all handling, storage, and transmission of classified and sensitive information meets applicable security and privacy standards.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and training materials.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in risk management, data analysis, and records management within a DoD or federal environment.
- Strong knowledge of DoD, Navy, and NIST security and privacy frameworks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and knowledge‑management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Security clearance eligibility and a background in compliance or audit processes preferred.
