Security Operations Engineer responsible for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls on a global data processing platform that uses machine learning, cloud, and containerized technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage security controls across a multi‑cloud, containerized environment.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and security teams to ensure compliance with DoD and other regulatory standards.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real‑time, leveraging machine‑learning insights.
- Automate security workflows and integrate threat intelligence into the platform’s monitoring stack.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security operations for cloud and container platforms.
- Strong knowledge of machine‑learning pipelines and data‑processing workflows.
- Hands‑on expertise with AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and related security tooling.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, or DoD standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a high‑impact, regulated environment.
