Lead a security engineering team to design, implement, and operate cloud‑native security controls, automation, and incident response processes using AWS, Python, and modern IAM practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of security engineers delivering secure architecture and automation for cloud workloads.
- Design, build, and maintain security controls and tooling (e.g., IAM, encryption, network segmentation) on AWS.
- Develop and operationalize vulnerability management and patching pipelines using Python and CI/CD frameworks.
- Drive incident detection, response, and post‑mortem analysis for security events across the platform.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on security engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Deep expertise in AWS security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub) and cloud‑native security best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python and familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Strong background in vulnerability management, threat modeling, and incident response.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
