Security Engineer
Security Engineer responsible for protecting a growing fiber network through threat detection, incident response, and compliance. Leverages network security, encryption, and firewall expertise to safeguard infrastructure and customers.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across the fiber network infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence feeds.
- Respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with network, operations, and product teams to embed security into all phases of deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network security engineering or a similar role.
- Hands‑on expertise with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption technologies.
- Strong knowledge of threat modeling, incident response, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
